Our U15 div1 team clinched the league title last night with a game to go.

 The team have a had brilliant season going 9 games unbeaten and winning the last 5 games in a row.

The season KO in April with an away game to league challengers Kildysert, the boys went 3 nil up after 15 mins but failed to hold on to the lead drawing 3 all. After that the boys won their next 2 games v Shannon Town and Burren. Mid June saw the team away to Avenue with a depleted squad due to holidays and it took a late goal from Eric to get us a point. The next game was at home to bridge with boys lucky to get a 2 1 win.

 Coming into August, the Tulla boys were 3 points behind Kildysert but with a game in hand. August saw them take 3 points against Shannon Town and Burren pulling level with Kildysert.  In the next game Tulla boys beat Avenue 3: 2 in the return fixture, which saw the boys open up a lead 3 point at the top of the table as Kildysert lost momentum, dropping points to Shannon town and Bridge. Going into the 2nd last game against Bridge, the boys needed a point to clinch the title but came away with 3 after a convincing 3:0 win over Bridge.

The 2010 boys squad has strength in depth and they have been solid in defence only conceding 9 goals in the league with keeper Bobby keeping two clean sheets this season. While on the attacking end 11 players out of the 17 man squad scored over the season with top attackers Gbubemi scoring 7 and 1 assist and Kieran with 5 goals and 3 assists. Other goal scorers were Bearach, Eric, Gavin, Ruadhan, Divine, Alex, Ryan, Shane and Zydhi. Overall, the team scored an impressive 25 goals in 9 games.

The boys have their final league game on Saturday, 1pm at home to Kildysert and are in the U15 cup final in a few weeks time.
